THE 80/20 Hack
One of the popular techniques which was discussed by our professor of soft skills was the 80/20 method which is also known as the Pareto Principle or the "Law of the Vital Few" is a concept that suggests roughly 80% of results come from 20% of causes. Focus on the Most Important. In many situations, you'll find that a small percentage of inputs or activities are responsible for the majority of the outputs or results. By identifying these crucial few (the 20%), you can prioritize your efforts and resources to maximize your desired outcomes. The 80/20 principle can be used to improve efficiency and productivity. By concentrating your efforts on the most impactful tasks or strategies, you can achieve more with less effort and time. In time management, the principle suggests that 20% of your tasks will yield 80% of your results. Therefore, focus on those tasks that have the most significant impact on your goals.
Here is an example of how you can use it in your studies which may help you. So firstly, sort your materials that are required so that you don’t waste any time then divide your study hours into 80% critical thinking and 20% intensifying application of the same question in different possible ways. It requires solid determination to do so but once you are used to it becomes an easy task to do.
